From trading company to producer
The company Penteq can look back on a long-standing company history which takes its beginning in the year 1968.
Paul Penkner senior establishes with Mr. Wilhelm Meissner the company Penkner-Meissner OHG in the 17th District, Kastnergasse 21.
The Kastnergasse soon served as a warehouse, while sales and office moved to the 18th District, Cross Alley 44-46. The company dealt with the import and sale of tools and machines for metalworking.
1968 Paul Penkner verließ die Firma und gründete sein eigenes Unternehmen in 1170 Wien, Elterleinplatz, welches sich ebenfalls mit dem Vertrieb von Werkzeugmaschinen beschäftigte.
1977 wurde eine Liegenschaft in 1160 Wien erworben.

1983 übernahm Paul Penkners Sohn Thomas Penkner die Firma im Alter von 19 Jahren. Der Betriebsgegenstand war der Handel mit Werkzeugen und Maschinen für die Metallverarbeitung.
2002 Erweiterung der Produktpalette um Lasersysteme. Es wurden die ersten kundenspezifischen Lösungen erarbeitet.
2007 Fertigung kompletter Systeme der industriellen Produktkennzeichnung
2011 Umzug des Büros in 1230 Wien Gastgebgasse.
2012 Kauf des Betriebsbaugrundes in Klagenfurt/Ebenthal
2013 Errichtung einer modernen, energiesparenden Fertigungsstätte mit Büros und Schauraum.
2014 Bezug des Neubaus in 9065 Ebenthal/Klagenfurt
