Metals

The laser is ideal for marking metals.
Depending on the material properties, there are different methods to choose from.

Label the occasion:

An event label can be applied to all metals which change their colour under heat effect.
This creates a high-contrast label without any deepening or discharges.
By changing the process parameters, our series V lasers are able to provide stainless steel with different starting colors.

Engraving:

A permanent and forgery-proof marking is created by the transfer of material.
By selective removal, deep engravings or 3d engravings can be produced.

Deep engraving:

In deep engraving, the material is melted and vaporized by the laser.

Fine structures and 3D shapes can thus be produced, such as those required in tool making for embossing dies.

Cut:

Lacquered or anodized metals can be labeled excellently by selectively covering the top layer.
The different colours of the two materials create a strong contrast. A classic application is the laser labeling of the nameplates.
