Full traceability throughout the production process
The Penteq Traceability System combines laser marking, process monitoring, quality control and production data collection into a comprehensive, end-to-end solution.
The PTS traceability system
Workpiece perfectly positioned in the workpiece holder
Taking a manual handling process as an example:
Even before the labelling process begins, an integrated sensor system checks whether the workpiece has been correctly loaded.
Coded workpiece carriers enable automatic identification of the component and, if required, the automatic selection of the appropriate process programme. Alternatively, the varying job data can be read from a job sheet via a barcode.
Verified codes only
Following laser marking, the applied Data Matrix code or QR code is automatically read and checked or verified by a camera system. This means that, in addition to legibility, the code’s content, position and quality level can also be assessed.
Only first-grade parts
Defective components are reliably excluded from the process. If the result is ‘not OK’, the code is invalidated – for example, by crossing it out – and the component must be disposed of in a reject bin with identification before the system is authorised for the next production cycle.
Digital birth certificate
A digital ‘certificate of origin’ is automatically generated for every component manufactured. This can include, amongst other things, the serial number, production date, laser programme, process parameters, test results and quality status. Through log functions, database integration and interfaces such as OPC-UA, the system can be integrated directly into existing MES and ERP structures. This ensures seamless traceability of every single product – from the loading of the workpiece right through to documented quality approval.
Work with Penteq to create an end-to-end traceability solution – from secure product identification to seamless traceability.
