Laser system for easy integration into conveyors

Fully automatic and efficient

Fully automatic processing of workpieces made of aluminium, stainless steel, steel, brass, carbide and plastics with optimum material flow. High productivity can be achieved through integration into existing conveyor lines Alternatively, a complete turnkey solution is available with an O- or U-shaped conveyor line with return conveyor, so that the workpieces can be inserted and removed from one position.

The workpiece carriers are customised to the products to be processed. The machine frame is designed in a sturdy welded steel construction and is suitable for many years of industrial use. An optional precision package for high-precision applications with granite components ensures the best production quality.

All components such as the laser supply unit, industrial PC and NC-controlled axes are integrated into the system. The laser fume extraction system, which is mandatory for employee safety reasons, is connected to the control system and is only active when the system is running.

Flexible workpiece carriers and robots for multi-sided machining

Customised workpiece carriers can be used to feed a wide variety of shapes and dimensions. The simple creation of a wide variety of products enables a comprehensive layout catalogue to be set up quickly in the laser system. An optional manipulation robot removes the workpieces and guides them to the laser position. This enables simple multi-sided processing to be realised.

The laser system is designed with a quick loading flap on the left and right side of the housing to enable rapid loading and unloading of the workpiece carriers.

Express orders in between

A large loading door attached to the front allows manual operation in between and can be used, for example, for the production of particularly urgent orders of individual pieces or for loading larger workpieces that cannot be conveyed via the workpiece carriers.

Integrable vision systems

Our laser systems benefit significantly from integrable vision systems that enable precise and reliable quality control. These vision systems are specifically designed to inspect various product properties and ensure that they meet the given specifications.

Some of the typical applications include:

Colour inspection: Vision systems can detect colour deviations and check whether the colour coding or colour quality of a product meets the requirements.

Recess presence inspection: Check that mechanical recesses or cut-outs are correctly placed and in the correct positions.

Code inspection: Laser systems can apply barcodes, QR codes or other markings to products, and the vision systems ensure that these codes are correct and legible.

Dimensional and geometric inspection: The systems can analyse the dimensions and geometry of a product in order to detect production errors at an early stage.

The integration of vision systems into laser systems offers several advantages:

The durability is also reflected in the individual components, such as the design of the machine frame in solid welded steel construction with powder-coated sheet steel panelling of the protective cabin and is specially designed for use in harsh industrial environments.

Ready for data exchange

The integrated industrial PC and the Windows-based control system offer the best conditions for seamless integration of the laser system with the user's IT system. Connection to ERP systems is easy to realise thanks to standardised interfaces. The Penteq framework enables customised adaptations for a wide variety of processes.

Compact design

The laser system is equipped with a sturdy welded steel base frame and powder-coated sheet steel panelling for many years of industrial use.

All supply units for controlling the laser, the axes and an optional robot are integrated. In addition, the laser fume extraction system, which is mandatory for employee safety reasons, is built in. This is equipped with a quick-change system for replacing the filters.

Automatic workpiece manipulation

The workpieces are automatically fed and removed using customised workpiece carriers via a driven conveyor belt. The workpiece carriers are indexed at the processing position in order to realise high repeat accuracy.

Laser class 1 is guaranteed by a special airlock system.

Alternative, manual operating mode

The system can be switched to a manual operating mode to process rush jobs in between. The large automatic front door is then used to load and unload the workpieces to be labelled

The NC-controlled Z-axis is used to adapt to different workpiece heights. This makes it possible to label other plate sizes without a magazine.

Optimum operability

The screen, keyboard and mouse are mounted on an ergonomically height and tilt-adjustable, solid swivel arm.

The system is controlled and operated using PenSoft software specially developed for nameplate production, which is easy to use after a short briefing.
Layouts are created using an intuitive editor, which offers all the usual options for creating a perfectly customised layout.
